November 2022 Newsletter
DIRECTOR’S THOUGHTS. NOVEMBER. 2022
Fall is officially here! For those who attended the past Hershey AACA Fall Meet, Hershey, Pa, the weather really made its statement! Not only was it a very rainy start to the week long show, the temperatures plummeted into the low 40’s! If you attended the show, there were many many empty spaces compared to other years. The walking traffic also was not up to par either. The spectator and camping parking fields were extremely sparse, too. Could it have been the weather forecast? Could it have been the date changes? Guess we will never find out.
This year as I vended, I saw very few chapter members. The following are the members of whom stopped by my spaces, green field: John Moore, Michael Allen, William Hallman. David/Debbie Brady were vendors in the Red field.
Friday was show day. Congrats to the following:
- Gary Hiller with his 1951 Ford
- Bruce Swayze with his 1955 Buick
- Todd Kriner with his 1979 Oldsmobile & 1982 Buick Riviera Conv
- Michael Nester with his 1978 Buick Electra
Be sure to read on in this newsletter about the clay tour to Chalfont & the Annual “Holiday Gathering.”
Your Elected Director, Sally Getz

Byers’ Choice Story
“What does Christmas look like to you? It was the late 1960’s and Joyce Byers, an amateur artist with a degree in fashion design, was disappointed in what she was seeing in the stores: aluminum tinsel trees with garish blue lights. She was looking for holiday decorations with wannth that showed respect for timeless traditions and her own memories of Christmas.”
“For more than 40 years, Byers’ Choice has been dedicated to bringing you the finest handcrafted gifts with the iconic Caroler® figurines. Every Caroler is lovingly handmade in our facility in Pennsylvania to bring the special warmth and traditions of Christmas into your home.”
Macungie Borough Park is where we will meet, the entrance just off Rt. 100 in the parking lot just across from the stone building. Please arrive a bit early for prompt leaving time@ 1 pm.
As we drive on the back roads, we can enjoy the sites of Fall to our destination. Once everyone has completed their time there, we will then take a ve1y shmt drive to have supper @ the “R&S Diner,” Telford, Pa.
For those who may be closer to the facility according to their home location, you can meet us at “Byers Choice, Chalfont, Pa”
