Kempton Antique Car Show – October 30, 2011 That “Wasn’t” "Free Spirit" Chapter Posted on July 19, 2014 by alanJuly 19, 2014 Because of the worst October snowstorm in the Northeast, in 86 years, on Sunday the 30th, our annual Kempton Car Show and Flea Market was severely impacted. Access roads to Kempton were blocked by fallen trees, snow covered, and strewn with salt and cinders, and power to the Kempton Community Center was lost.Despite the obstacles, members of the “Free Spirit” Chapter were there to greet those brave antique car owners, and flea marketers who made it to the grounds, and distribute dash plaques to the car owners. Unfortunately, the show couldn’t go on due to this unpredictable act of nature. No postponement date is available, as the Kempton Community Center has other commitments. The “Free Spirit” is planning to conduct this show, as usual, in 2012, so please save the last Sunday in October for this event. We thank all of those loyal attendees who have expressed their regret that our show was affected, and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
